Welcome to a website about some very early implementations for gadgets and bots to make Google Wave better for scientists. I hope this will be part of ongoing efforts by a lot of people. Currently, it's just me. At the moment, I have implemented two things. An equation gadget (eqygadget) and an equation bot (eqybot). If you have Wave a you'd like to use them just eqygadget@appspot.com as a participant to one of your waves. Eqybot should introduce himself, but essentially he will replace all text between $$ signs with equation gadgets (this only occurs once you finish editing a blip). If you have feedback (or even if you just find this useful I'd love to hear) or would like to help improve Google wave for scientists email me (jjh@42quarks.com) or wave (jhuntnz@googlewave.com). If you have access to the Wave preview checkout this public Wave about it. All the source code for these services is available here. I've tried embeddeding my public wave below, so we'll see how it goes.
